Changing the Standard of Foundation Giving
The concept for the Rocky Mountain Community Foundation (RMCF) began in early 2004. Several prominent Denver businessmen and philanthropists observed that many needs within the community were going unfulfilled, and that the region could do far more than was currently being accomplished. They saw a need to support traditional values, free market enterprise, personal growth and excellence and to work with existing organizations more closely, including the faith community. Coming from the business world, they recognized that having more choices is healthy to achieve and improve any objective; including philanthropy. Their pledge to honor donor intent and promote individual liberty and freedom – the traditions that they understood had served them and America well and are critical to our future – is the bedrock on which RMCF has been built.
RMCF vigorously supports donor intent. We will work with you as little or as much as you wish to craft a personal strategy that fulfills your objectives and preserves them into the future. We respect our donor’s generosity as well as their wishes, and recognize our mission is to assist in their desire to help others.
RMCF is founded on the principle that grants should be awarded based on the needs of a community. By supporting a broad range of organizations, and honoring donor intent, RMCF is able to address the diverse needs of the community. RMCF is committed to returning the standard of community giving to one that is based on true need and donor intent.
Message from RMCF President Bob Beauprez
"We are committed to making RCMF one of the predominant community foundations in the west, providing individuals who believe in the free-market principles and traditional values of our nation the opportunity to invest in compatible causes that better our communities, our state and the entire western region." more>
