- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Community Foundation announced its official launch, on Wednesday, with a gathering of business, civic and community leaders at Lakewood Country Club.
The RMCF’s mission statement describes it goal as “supporting organizations that promote personal and economic freedom and that enrich the lives of citizens in the Denver and Rocky Mountain area.”
The foundation has launched its website, www.rmfund.org, and has received strong early support from a cross-section of business and civic organizations.
“It was most encouraging to see the excitement in the room at the kickoff event, which was clear confirmation that the need for the RMCF is real,” said RMCF President Bob Beauprez.
Beauprez’s sentiment was echoed by Laurie Leprino, who attended the event.
“This foundation follows an order whose time has come, it’s a vehicle to embrace and promote the collective good. It’s refreshing to see such an endeavor as RMCF,” said Leprino.
Part of the intent of the RMCF is to return support to community organizations that have lost funding, including those that are faith-based.
“I like the fact that there are several large foundations and there is still room for a special foundation to embrace traditional and personal values,” said Jay Allen, CXO President.
The Rocky Mountain Community Foundation is founded on the principle that grants should be awarded based on the needs of a community. By supporting a broad range of organizations, and honoring donor intent, the RMCF is able to address the diverse needs of the community. The RMCF is committed to returning the standard of community giving to one that is based on true need and donor intent. For more information please visit www.rmfund.org.
